An extraordinary general meeting is called on Monday, 18 May at 4PM (CEST) via Zoom to inform you about the foundation of the History & Philosophy of Cosmology Society.
You are all more than welcome to join the meeting and later on the Society, as well as to participate in nominating members for the Editorial Board of the new journal “Studies in History and Philosophy of Cosmology” (DeGruyter), and to contribute in the different tasks and committees of the Society.
The Society is meant to foster activities on the history of cosmology broadly construed, as well as on the philosophy of astrophysics and cosmology, reshaping their role in pragmatic terms and in synergy with the community of physicists.
The Society will be able to act and support activities in Italy and abroad and will foster the collaboration with existing societies for specific initiatives on the history and philosophy of cosmology.
